James Baxter began as a sole trader in 1994 before incorporating Baxter’s in 2003. He identified that the waste recycling business was growing nationally and therefore changed his focus from general transport services to exclusively waste transport services.
James takes overall responsibility for the strategic direction of the Company.
Rachel Baxter began her career in finance in 1987, working as a Trainee Business Development Manager with General Guarantee, becoming their first female Branch Manager in 1992 before moving onto work for DAF Financial Services and Mercedes-Benz CharterWay.
Rachel joined Baxter’s in 2009, taking primary responsibility for the accounts and admin teams, whilst also supporting James with the strategic direction of the Business.
